Character Relations

Kamui Brisby

Her eldest son, and her more notorious troublemaker. He's gone to juvie, he's gotten constantly in trouble, he's a notorious bully... but Elizabeth loves him anyway, and she will always be there for him. Even if she feels more responsible for his ill deeds than perhaps she ought to, and even if he takes every chance he possibly can to push her away. She believes wholeheartedly that no matter how much it hurts her or her other children to have Kamui misbehaving or even actively hurting his family, it would only hurt all of them even more if Kamui were to completely abandon the family. She won't accept him disappearing, still too traumatized and worried about losing him the way she almost lost him when he was much younger... she really would do anything for her kids, but Kamui is the one that most actively makes her worry.
Katsuki Brisby

Her second son and the one that reminds her so much more of Johnathan. Save for the cursing, Katsuki is absolutely brilliant, tall, strong-willed... the extremely foul demeanor is unlike either of his parents, but Elizabeth suspects it was from being harassed by Kamui and possibly from Katsuki's relation to other students as he grew up. Just like Kamui, Elizabeth is utterly devastated at the mere thought of losing her son and just like she does for Kamui, she would walk straight into the mouth of danger if it meant finding him and making sure he was safe. Fortunately for everyone involved, Katsuki doesn't test fate and push away his family the way the oldest brother does. Elizabeth can, in a way, rely on Katsuki in a way similar to how she relied on Johnathan.
Anya Vasilieva

Nosy Mrs. Elizabeth Brisby is completely aware of the fact that Katsuki and Anya aren't actually dating and she's even aware that they likely aren't even that aware of how they act around each other. ...Despite that, Elizabeth is remarkably excited at the possibility that Anya and Katsuki MIGHT date, and while she hopes that Anya will someday become her real daughter-in-law, she's currently quite happy to have her as a daughter in all but name.
Elda Marker

Every mom needs a mom friend, and even though Elda is a vampire, she perfectly fills that role. Elizabeth is extremely fond of her, and admires how strong she is; most of all, Elizabeth can relate very well to her, as the two of them have some overlapping tastes and the both of them are facing so many similar problems. Elda is kind, and easy to confide in, and Elizabeth is glad she took the time to actually befriend her... it's been helping her cope with the stress of this whole "past lives" nonsense.
Lalli Hotakainen

A very straightforward young man, which Elizabeth can appreciate since it's not inherently couched in rudeness. He's been helping her gradually improve her spelling each time they interract, which is embarrassing but she ultimately appreciates.
Sanji Vinsmoke

Though he was remarkably rude to her when they first met, Sanji's clearly not a very malicious guy. He is, after all, calmer in temperament than her second son - and it's much easier to read the sympathy and kindness in Sanji. She's only known Sanji in passing, but she has appreciated that he's offered to help when they've interracted.
